According to police data, on February 1, 2026, a 53-year-old man from the Talas district reported to law enforcement that two lambs had disappeared from his barn at the end of January. In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 205-1, Part 3, Clause 4 ("Theft of Livestock") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the operational work of the criminal police, investigators were able to track down the suspects. As a result, J.R., born in 1985 and residing in the Aitmatov district, was detained. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
The alleged accomplice of J.R. is T.N., born in 1981, also a resident of the Aitmatov district. The police are currently working to establish his whereabouts.
During the investigation, it became known that the detained J.R. is connected to a series of similar crimes. To date, 12 cases of livestock theft have been identified. In particular, during searches at the relatives of the suspect, 14 heads of livestock were found, including 3 cows and 11 lambs.
All discovered animals have been returned to their rightful owners.
