According to information from the regional Emergency Situations Ministry, the incident happened on Sunday, February 15, 2026. The flames engulfed a Finnish building located on Lenin Street in Kara-Suu, completely destroying it. The total area of the structure was 295 square meters.
The first unit of the fire and rescue service No. 25 from the Kara-Suu district arrived at the scene at 07:23. Then, at 07:38, a second unit joined the firefighting efforts, and at 08:21, due to the scale of the fire, a third unit was dispatched.
The coordinated actions of the three units allowed the fire to be completely extinguished by 12:19.
As a result of the incident, the building was burned to the ground, and preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties. Currently, Emergency Situations Ministry specialists are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and assess the material damage.
