According to Turmush, on February 16, 2026, a special commission was established in the village of Ak-Suu to examine the animal's carcass. The commission included: B. Abdybekov, a hunting oversight specialist in the district, ranger M. Sharshiev, veterinary representative D. Asylbaev, and police captain N. Karmysakov, an investigator from the internal affairs department.
During the examination, the carcass of the snow leopard was found to be a male over 10 years old. A visual inspection revealed no gunshot or other mechanical injuries.
To determine the exact causes of death, the carcass was sent to the National Academy of Sciences in Bishkek, to the department that studies wildlife.
Additionally, a video has appeared online showing a weakened animal in the yard of one of the houses. The exact date of the filming remains unknown.
