The suspect has been detained
The Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs reported the detention of a suspect involved in telephone fraud.
On December 12, 2025, a woman, M. O., born in 1949, filed a written complaint with the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs. She stated that fraudsters, posing as law enforcement officials, deceitfully took her money amounting to 850,000 soms, after which they ceased all communication.
A criminal case has been opened regarding this incident under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities and a technical investigation, a citizen identified as A. Zh., born in 2004, was detained. In accordance with Articles 96–97 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the City Department of Internal Affairs.
