A statement was filed with the police by U. L., who reported that from February to June 2025 in Bishkek, on Isakeyeva Street, S. N. deceitfully took possession of ten electric vehicles by gaining his trust.
The suspect assured that he would sell the cars and return the money; however, to this day, neither the cars nor the funds have been returned. After that, he went into hiding. The total amount of damage amounted to $260,000.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A suspect in a $260,000 fraud has been detained in Bishkek.
As a result of investigative and operational search activities, the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs detained S. N., who is 21 years old. He has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek City Department of Internal Affairs in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The investigation is ongoing.
