“On February 13, 2026, the Interior Department received a written appeal from a citizen M.B. requesting action against a citizen named U. He deceitfully obtained 135,000 soms, promising employment at Kumtor Gold Company. This occurred in December 2024, after which the perpetrator disappeared,” the press service clarified.
Based on this appeal, the Investigative Service of the Interior Department of the Lenin District initiated a criminal case under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational-search activities, the suspect Z.U., born in 1990, was detained and brought to the Investigative Service. In accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, he has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek.
“To date, it has been established that he is involved in six other similar crimes,” the press service added.
