In the Sokuluk area, a foreigner was detained while driving a car with illegally tinted windows and without the necessary documents. This information was provided by the press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region.

The incident occurred on February 25, 2026, when traffic police officers from the Sokuluk District Police Department were patrolling the Bishkek—Osh highway. At 08:30, at the intersection of Frunze and Lenin Streets in the village of Sokuluk, they stopped a Hyundai Sonata vehicle that was traveling east with dark front side windows.

Upon checking the driver's documents, it was revealed that the driver was a citizen of another country, E.R., born in 1988. During the inspection, it was found that he did not have a driver's license. Moreover, he was unable to provide documents permitting the use of tinting on the front side windows.

Due to these violations, administrative protocols were drawn up in accordance with the Code of Offenses:

Article 184 (Driving a vehicle without a driver's license);

Article 194, part 3 (Illegal operation of a vehicle with tinted windows).

The vehicle was placed in a special impound lot.
