According to the Internal Affairs Department of the Batken region, a special operation has been underway in the region since March 2, 2026, within which a criminal group engaged in the distribution of hashish has been stopped.
As part of the initiated criminal case under Article 282 ("Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, the results of operational-search activities led to the detention of the suspects. They are residents of the city — 21-year-old A.B. and 22-year-old D.A.
The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing. Operational and preventive measures are scheduled until March 7, 2026.
