Asian Championship: Muhammad Ali Matkarimov took 14th place

At the Asian Cycling Championships taking place in Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Ali Matkarimov from Kyrgyzstan finished in 14th place.

On this day, February 6, there will be competitions for three sets of medals among men and women.

In the individual time trial over a distance of 24.6 km, intended for participants aged 23 and under, 17 cyclists are registered.

Matkarimov started ninth, completing the race in 34 minutes and 39 seconds, which corresponds to an average speed of 41.5 km/h. He finished 5 minutes and 36 seconds behind the Kazakh athlete Mansur Beisenbaev, who became the winner.

Additionally, Artem Shapilov will also compete today in the individual time trial over 31 km among adult participants.

It is worth noting that the day before, Sofia Babunova took 7th place in the 15.8 km race among juniors, while Kirill Safronov was 11th in the individual time trial over 20 km among juniors on the first day of the tournament.
