At the 2026 Winter Olympics, taking place in Milan and Cortina, the first batch of free condoms was completely distributed just three days after the start of the competitions. This was reported by international media, citing information from the organizers.

According to available data, approximately 10,000 condoms were initially provided to athletes. After they ran out, the organizers assured that they would quickly arrange for a new supply.

The distribution of condoms in the Olympic Village is an established tradition that began in 1988. This practice aims to reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections and promote a culture of safe behavior among the participants of the Games.
