The competition took place on February 28 in the under 72 kg category, where seven wrestlers were divided into two groups.
In the group stage, Nurtayeva achieved three victories over opponents from Bulgaria and India, allowing her to advance to the semifinals in first place.
In the semifinal match, the Kyrgyz athlete triumphed over Polish competitor Wiktoria Choluz, but in the final, she lost to Kazakhstani Jamila Bakbergenova.
Thus, Nurtayeva secured second place, winning a silver medal.
It is also worth noting that on February 27, Meerim Jumanaazarova won silver, while Gulnura Tashtanbekova became a bronze medalist.
