Kyrgyzstani athletes won medals at the Ivan Yarygin Cup

At the international women's wrestling tournament - the Ivan Yarygin Cup, which took place in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, from January 29 to February 1, two Kyrgyz athletes, Dilnaz Sazanova and Nurzat Nurtayeva, won medals.

According to information provided by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic, Dilnaz Sazanova became the silver medalist in the weight category up to 62 kg. During the competition, she achieved victories over Akylai Chynybaeva (Kyrgyzstan) and Russian athletes Anastasia Sidelnikova and Ekaterina Oleinikova.

In the final, Sazanova faced Ok Ju Kim from North Korea, who is a silver medalist at the Asian and World Championships in 2025. In this match, the Kyrgyz athlete lost with a score of 2:12, earning her second place.

Additionally, Nurzat Nurtayeva won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 72 kg, confidently defeating Kristina Bratchikova from Russia, the 2025 European champion among athletes under 23, with a score of 6:0.
