As reported by Le Figaro on February 6, the National Financial Prosecutor's Office of France has initiated an investigation related to possible money laundering and tax fraud involving the names of Jacques and Caroline Lang. Their names appear more than 673 times in the Epstein case materials.

The investigation is focusing on an offshore company established by Caroline Lang in 2016 in collaboration with Epstein in the Virgin Islands. Media reports indicate that Jacques Lang is also listed among the co-owners of this company.

Interestingly, according to a will drafted by Epstein just two days before his death, Caroline Lang was named the heir to $5 million. Following media publications, she decided to step down from her position as head of the film producers' union and leave several other roles.

The 86-year-old Jacques Lang confirmed his acquaintance with Epstein, adding that at the time of their interactions, he was unaware of his criminal activities. According to him, they met about 15 years ago through director Woody Allen.

According to the publication, on February 8, Lang is expected to provide explanations at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which supports the Arab World Institute, headed by him since 2013. Despite calls for his resignation, Lang refuses to leave his position.
