On February 12, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the country's special forces on their successful performance at the international competition UAE SWAT Challenge 2026, held in Dubai. The Kazakh teams took first and second places in the overall standings, reports The Astana Times.

During the competition, the Kazakhstan C team became the absolute winner of the tournament, while Kazakhstan A took second place. This achievement was made possible due to the fierce competition, which involved 109 teams from 48 countries, highlighting Kazakhstan's growing reputation in elite tactical training and international special operations competitions, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Presidential spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov noted that Tokayev highly appreciated the training of the fighters, who demonstrated excellent professional, physical, and combat skills.

“The President emphasized the high level of professionalism and training of the fighters representing the State Border Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the National Security Committee, as well as their determination to win and patriotism,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

In addition to the medals won, other Kazakh teams also showed good results. The Kazakhstan B team took eighth place, while Kazakhstan D came in twentieth. The women's team "Tomiris" placed eighteenth and was the best among women's teams, surpassing many men's teams from other countries.

According to Smadiyarov, Tokayev noted that the state would ensure official recognition of the military personnel's achievements, calling their performance a source of national pride and a vivid demonstration of the high level of training of the Kazakh special forces on the international stage.
