According to information published by foreign sources, Panch was born in the summer of 2025, but shortly after his birth, his mother abandoned him. Zoo workers took on the responsibility of raising the baby and continue to care for his health.

To help Panch cope with the lack of maternal care, the caregivers provided him with soft toys and blankets. As a result, the infant has become very attached to a plush orangutan, which he does not leave even while sleeping and always carries with him around the enclosure.

Experts note that in the first months of life, baby macaques usually stay close to their mothers, so such soft "substitutes" help reduce stress in monkeys raised by humans.

Panch is currently being gradually introduced to other monkeys; however, he still keeps his toy close, even during interactions with his peers.

This touching story has attracted the attention of internet users, who are discussing the behavior of the macaque and the conditions in which animals are kept in zoos.
