The event will be held at the Palandöken ski resort located in Erzurum
Erzurum will once again host the FIS Snowboard World Cup, which will take place from March 6 to 8. This was announced by the tournament organizers.
About 300 athletes from 20 countries around the world are expected to participate in the competition.
Over three days, the best snowboarders will compete on the challenging slopes of Palandöken, showcasing their skills and speed.
This is the second time Erzurum has hosted such competitions, with the first taking place here in 2018.
Palandöken is known as one of Turkey's leading destinations for experienced skiers and snowboarders, thanks to its steep slopes, extensive trails, and excellent snow cover.
Additionally, the annual Frozen Festival will take place in Palandöken from February 12 to 15.
The festival promises a variety of entertainment, including live performances and DJ sets by popular artists, as well as evening events and après-ski activities.
As part of the festival, there will also be skiing and snowboarding competitions with awards for the winners, yoga sessions, ice sculpture workshops, and many other themed activities.
Furthermore, Erzurum has been awarded the title of Tourist Capital of 2025 by the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) and has become the first European Capital of Winter Sports according to the Federation of European Capitals and Cities of Sport (ACES).
These achievements have helped the city strengthen its position on the international winter sports stage.
Modern infrastructure, long trails, and stable snow conditions make Palandöken an ideal location for hosting world-class competitions.
