The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, Battsetseg Batmunkh, is on an official visit to Sweden at the invitation of her Swedish counterpart, Maria Malmör Stenergard.
During her visit, she met with representatives of the Mongolian community living in Sweden.
There are over 12,000 citizens of Mongolia in Sweden, and more than 20 non-governmental organizations are actively working to preserve and promote the Mongolian language, culture, traditions, as well as national sports and arts.
Battsetseg Batmunkh expressed gratitude to the Mongolian citizens for their significant contribution to the development and promotion of national art and culture in Sweden and other European countries, and also presented her compatriots with the highest state awards - an order and a medal, which were awarded by the decree of the President of Mongolia.
