The incident occurred on March 11 around noon when a plane arriving from Hyderabad, India, landed in Thailand. According to NationThailand, the front landing gear failed to withstand the impact during landing.

There were 133 passengers on board, and fortunately, no one was injured. Everyone was quickly evacuated and directed to the waiting area.

Due to the aircraft remaining on the runway, the airport was forced to temporarily close it for inspection and evacuation of the plane. Preliminary estimates suggest that this work took about six hours.

This situation led to dozens of flights heading to Phuket being forced to either circle in waiting or divert to alternate airports in Krabi and Bangkok.

According to video footage from the scene, it can be seen that not only the front wheel of the aircraft was damaged, but also the landing gear. An initial inspection determined that the cause of the incident was a hard landing.
