According to resolution No. 2026-P-12/6-1-(NPA), the action of the previous National Bank act No. 2022-P-33/45-2-(NPA) "On Temporary Solutions in the Field of Conducting Foreign Currency Exchange Operations," adopted on July 22, 2022, is suspended until August 1, 2026.
The previously effective resolution required commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan to:

weekly provide reports to the National Bank no later than 14:00 on the Monday following the reporting week;
provide information on transactions with exchange offices at the end of each month, with a submission deadline of 16:00 on the working day following the reporting month.
As for exchange offices, they are:
- prohibited from conducting transactions with cash foreign currency with commercial banks within one day if the total amount exceeds the turnover of the exchange office;
- when conducting transactions with commercial banks for the purchase/sale of cash and non-cash foreign currency, it is required to provide written confirmation of the turnover amount at the end of the previous day and/or at the beginning of the current day, signed by the head of the exchange office, along with the receipt from the cash register.
