These rules apply to both fresh and frozen beef. However, to obtain a "zero" tariff or reduced rates, importers will need to meet a number of strict requirements.
First of all, the importer must obtain official approval from the authorized state body of their country, which must include the name of the organization, the volumes of supplies, and the exact nomenclature of goods. Without this document, the preferential conditions will not be valid.
In addition, the imported meat must be used exclusively for the production of meat products within the country. The resale of raw meat to other states of the union is prohibited. The export of finished products, such as sausages and canned goods made from this raw material, to the markets of other EAEU countries is also not allowed.
The main goal of the introduced measures is to ensure the domestic market with quality raw materials and to help local producers curb the rise in prices for meat products. It is expected that such support will help maintain price stability for consumers and strengthen food security in the region.
