In response to her questions, Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Agriculture, reported on the allocation of funding for the installation of drip irrigation over an area of 5,200 hectares.
According to him, farmers need to contact the regional Water Resources Service and sign the appropriate contract to initiate the process.
Additionally, the deputy noted the necessity to pay attention to remote areas where farmers face a shortage of irrigation water.
Torobaev emphasized that the implementation of drip irrigation systems would not only ease the irrigation process but also allow for a higher quality harvest.
This issue was raised during the discussion of the draft resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh "On the progress of preparations for the spring field and economic works in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2026."
