The Tax Service has abandoned excessive inspections and pressure on businesses — Shykmamatov

The head of the tax authority shared changes in tax administration

Almambet Shykmamatov, chairman of the State Tax Service, announced significant reforms in tax administration planned for 2025. The information was provided by the press service of the STS.

According to Shykmamatov, the Tax Service has consciously abandoned the practice of excessive inspections and pressure on businesses.

“Fear will never be a reliable foundation for generating budget revenues,” he noted.

In 2025, the practice of on-site inspections by employees of the central office of the STS will be completely abolished, which, according to Shykmamatov, will significantly reduce corruption risks. Approaches to the appointment and conduct of inspections in regional divisions have also been revised. The focus is now on the justification and quality of inspections rather than their quantity.
