Shykmamatov noted that a key element of the reforms was a radical change in the approach to tax administration. He emphasized that the agency has abandoned the practice of excessive inspections and pressure on businesses, as this does not ensure sustainable revenue for the budget.
Furthermore, he reported that starting in 2025, the possibility of conducting field inspections by employees of the central office of the State Tax Service will be completely abolished, which should help minimize corruption risks.
“In addition, we have revised the approaches to the appointment and conduct of inspections in territorial subdivisions, creating a control and coordination system focused not on the number of inspections, but on their validity and quality,” added the head of the State Tax Service.
