At a briefing on February 10, the Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Sergey Vakunov, spoke about the prospects for trade development between Kyrgyzstan and Russia by 2026.

Vakunov noted that the trade turnover between the two countries demonstrates steady growth, amounting to more than 3 billion 160 million dollars last year.

One of the significant events in this direction was the 6th Kyrgyz-Russian Business Forum, where 30 memorandums worth a total of 270 million dollars were signed between enterprises of both countries.

According to the ambassador, Kyrgyzstan and Russia have every chance to increase trade turnover to 5 billion dollars per year.

“Russian investments and new projects in Kyrgyzstan, the growth of mutual trade, as well as the transition to cooperation between enterprises of the two countries will be key factors in achieving this goal,” he emphasized.

In addition, Vakunov noted that the stability of Kyrgyzstan's economy also plays a significant role in the process of further developing cooperation.
