
Minister Bakyt Torobaev announced the allocation of 1 billion soms to support farmers.
At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev revealed plans to provide preferential loans at an annual rate of 2% for farmers who will implement water-saving technologies in 2026.
The state budget will allocate 1 billion soms for the implementation of this project, which has already been prepared and is awaiting the approval of the relevant resolution to begin financing.
According to the minister, it is planned to establish drip and sprinkler irrigation over an area of 20,000 hectares. Of these, state funding will cover 5,270 hectares, while farmers will provide funds for the remaining 14,730 hectares.
