
Prices vary by region
The temporary measures for state regulation of meat prices, including beef and lamb (excluding boneless meat), have been extended in Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy.
According to the order issued on January 30, 2026, under number 3, antimonopoly services in the regions of the country have established maximum retail prices for meat products:
- Bishkek: 720 soms per 1 kg of beef and 710 soms per 1 kg of lamb;
- Chui Region: 740-750 soms;
- Naryn Region: 620-680 soms;
- Issyk-Kul Region: 680-740 soms;
- Talas Region: 685-695 soms;
- Osh and Osh Region: 720-730 soms;
- Jalal-Abad Region: 630-720 soms;
- Batken Region: 700 soms.
“These measures are aimed at preventing price increases and protecting consumer interests. Antimonopoly authorities will monitor compliance with the established prices,” the ministry commented.
