At the plenary session of the Jogorku Kenesh held on February 11, 2026, deputy Chyngyz Ajibayev proposed an initiative for training farmers from the Leilek district. In response, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Bakyt Torobaev reported that seminars for farmers, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture staff, have been taking place in the south of the country since January 16.

Torobaev noted that despite the availability of seminars, many farmers show no interest and do not attend these events. "I have always believed that farmers have all the necessary knowledge, but in reality, they need training. Many are not striving for development and the adoption of new technologies. Nevertheless, we are ready to provide them with support," he added.

Additionally, the minister announced the establishment of a Farmers' Service Center in Leilek, where agrarians can seek assistance. The meeting also discussed information from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding preparations for the spring fieldwork in 2026.
