- The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has updated the provisions regarding the import of products subject to mandatory conformity assessment into the customs territory of the EAEU.

In the new document, the procedure for confirming compliance with technical regulation standards for goods entering through "bonded" warehouses of electronic commerce operators intended for sale to individuals is outlined.

Among the changes, specific conditions for the import of wheeled vehicles (chassis) as electronic commerce goods through "bonded" warehouses are provided. Such goods may enter and be released into circulation without restrictions only in Armenia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, in Kazakhstan and Russia, these vehicles are permitted for use exclusively for freight and passenger transportation, as well as for private trips by individuals from other Union countries where they are registered.

The specified changes to the import rules for electronic commerce goods will come into effect upon the implementation of the Protocol on Amendments to the Treaty on the Customs Code of the EAEU, signed on December 25, 2023, which was adopted on April 11, 2017 (the expected date of entry into force is by July 1, 2026).
