The Tourism Development Fund attracted $4.5 million in World Bank grants

At the meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, a report on the work done in 2025 was presented.

In 2025, the Tourism Development Support Fund managed to recover 56.1 million soms in accounts receivable and attract over $4.5 million in grants from the World Bank for the construction of new tourist facilities in the Osh region.

These figures were announced by the Fund's General Director Adilet Januzakov during the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev.

Januzakov noted that after updating the management team, a comprehensive assessment of the Fund's operations was conducted, focusing on financial discipline and the rational use of funds. As a result, it was possible to fully settle debts on projects in Naryn and the village of Tosor, as well as optimize IT and communication expenses.

The report also mentions that out of 18 Rest Point facilities, 11 are currently operational, while the others are in the final stages of construction. The subsidiary company GoBus is already providing regular passenger transportation and is preparing to launch an electronic ticketing system.

Special attention was given to large investment projects. The total investment in the international sports complex "Tamga-Tosor" exceeds $100 million. Development continues on the Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Mountain Resort projects.
