During the meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, a report on the activities of the Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2025 was presented. The General Director of the Fund, Adilet Januzakov, noted significant changes in the approaches to managing financial resources and launching key investment projects.
Among the main achievements of the new team is the improvement of financial discipline. A total of 56.1 million soms of accounts receivable was successfully recovered, including the full repayment of loans for projects in Naryn and the village of Tosor. Optimization of operational expenses allowed for the redirection of funds towards the creation of necessary tourist infrastructure. In particular, out of 18 facilities in the network of modern recreation areas Rest Point, 11 are currently operational, and over $4.5 million in grants from the World Bank has been attracted for the construction of three new facilities in the Osh region.
In his report, Januzakov also emphasized the importance of logistics and digitalization. The subsidiary company GoBus provides regular transportation services and is preparing to implement an electronic ticketing system for intercity routes, which will make travel across the country more convenient and transparent.
Furthermore, the Fund is actively working on nationally significant projects that have the potential to significantly change the economic situation in the regions. Negotiations are underway with investors for the international sports complex project "Tamga-Tosor," with a total expected investment exceeding $100 million. The development of major mountain resorts Baytik Mountain Resort and Chatkal Mountain Resort is also ongoing.
The new management model of the Fund is focused on the efficient use of resources and creating conditions that promote tourism as one of the main factors of socio-economic growth in Kyrgyzstan.
