At the beginning of this year, there has been an impressive growth in Kyrgyzstan's GDP, which increased by 9%. This data was presented in the weekly macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank.
According to analysts, strong consumer demand played a key role in this growth. In particular, domestic trade contributed 2.6 percentage points to GDP dynamics, while other services added 1.9 p.p. Investments in fixed capital also showed significant growth, increasing by 17.9%.
The Eurasian Development Bank forecasts that Kyrgyzstan's economy will continue to develop at high rates in 2026. Preliminary estimates suggest that GDP growth this year will be 9.3%.
