This ban covers cattle, sheep, goats, and horses, and its aim is to ensure food security and stabilize prices for food products in the domestic market.
However, there are exceptions to this restriction:
- transit shipments through the territory of the country;
- export of sport horses for participation in competitions;
- donation of horses to international organizations and foreign states;
- export of live animals through "Kyrgyz Agriholding," except for animals raised in Kyrgyzstan;
- export of horses by air transport.
All relevant government agencies have already received instructions to implement this ban.
The initial ban on the export of agricultural animals was introduced on August 21, 2025. This decision was made in response to a sharp rise in meat prices, with the aim of stabilizing the market situation in the country.
