Currently, flights from Bishkek are operated by China Southern six times a week. The emergence of a new operator, as noted by company representatives, will significantly simplify air communication with China.
The new route will create additional opportunities for cultural exchange, travel, and business contacts between the two countries.
There has also been discussion about launching direct air communication with Europe, which may become possible after acquiring new aircraft and being removed from the EU blacklist, where all Kyrgyz airlines have been since 2006. To be removed from this list, compliance with international standards is required.
In October 2025, a delegation from the State Agency for Civil Aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic (GACA) participated in a technical meeting in Brussels (Belgium) with the European Commission (DG MOVE) as part of the process to remove Kyrgyzstan from the EU safety list.
