In April of this year, the opening of a new international flight route between Osh and Kashgar is planned, which will significantly improve air communication between Kyrgyzstan and China. This was officially reported by the press service of OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan".
During a working meeting with representatives of the Chinese company COMAC (Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China), opportunities for deepening aviation cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
The main point of discussion was the opening of the new route Osh — Kashgar, which is planned to be launched in April 2026.
The creation of this flight is aimed at improving transport accessibility between Kyrgyzstan and China, as well as developing mutual trade, economic, tourism, and humanitarian ties.
It was noted at the meeting that COMAC is a shareholder of Chengdu Airlines, which operates aircraft of its own production. Flights on the Osh — Kashgar route are expected to be carried out using COMAC C909 aircraft.
OJSC "Airports of Kyrgyzstan" considers this project an important step in the development of its international route network and strengthening partnerships with leading airlines in China.
