- In 2025, the gross domestic product of Kyrgyzstan reached over 1.9 trillion soms [approximately $23 billion - ed.], reflecting an 11.1% growth compared to the previous year. This statement was made on January 19 at a press conference by the chairman of the National Statistical Committee, Baktybek Kudaybergenov.

According to the information provided by Kudaybergenov, the main reason for the growth was improved performance in the services sector, goods production, and an increase in net taxes on products.

In particular, the volume of industrial production in 2025 amounted to 799.7 billion soms, which is 10.6% more than in 2024. The increase was due to the growth in the production of pharmaceutical goods, rubber and plastic products, construction materials, as well as wood processing, printing, food and tobacco industries, and chemical products, along with an increase in mineral extraction.

As for agriculture, the gross output in this sector amounted to 459.7 billion soms, increasing by 2.2% compared to the previous year. Livestock production also showed positive dynamics, increasing by 4%.

The construction sector also demonstrated impressive growth: the volume of gross construction output from January to December 2025 amounted to 438.5 billion soms, which is 21.1% more than in the same period of 2024. An increase in construction volumes was observed in most regions, except for Batken, Naryn, and Osh regions.

The turnover of wholesale and retail trade amounted to 2.2 trillion soms, which is 17.8% more than in 2024.
