The press service of the Ministry of Economy reported that Kyrgyzstan has been elected chair of the SPECA Program for 2026. This decision was made in Ashgabat during the SPECA week, where the twentieth session of the Steering Committee and the second meeting of the Steering Committee of the SPECA Fund took place.
The chairmanship will provide Kyrgyzstan with new opportunities to enhance its international image, protect national interests, and actively participate in the development of the SPECA Program.
Additionally, an important outcome of the meetings was the adoption of documents that will allow for the practical launch of the SPECA Fund. In the future, the Fund will be engaged in the implementation of projects, including on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
For reference: The Steering Committee of the SPECA Program meets annually to determine strategic priorities, approve work plans, analyze reports, and make decisions regarding the activities of thematic working groups.
