As a result of these events, the Kyrgyz Republic was elected to the position of chair of the SPECA program for 2026. This role provides the country with additional opportunities to strengthen its international image, protect national interests, and actively participate in the development of the program.
Another important outcome of these meetings was the adoption of necessary documents to initiate the functioning of the SPECA fund, which will implement projects in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The governing council of the SPECA program meets annually to provide overall guidance for the program, determine strategic priorities, approve work plans, review reports, and make decisions on the activities of working groups.
