This decision was announced at a meeting of the Ministry of Finance
At a recent meeting of the Ministry of Finance's board, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev announced plans to increase salaries for social sector workers in 2026. This statement was made in the context of summarizing the ministry's activities for the year 2025.
Kasymaliev emphasized that due to the growth in budget revenues, the state can transition from a social funding model to a development-oriented budget while maintaining the level of social support for citizens.
“Our budget, which was previously considered social, has now become a development budget,” he stressed.
According to the head of the cabinet, the increase in budget revenues opens new opportunities for financing not only large-scale infrastructure projects but also for raising the earnings of people working in the social sector.
In addition, Adylbek Kasymaliev provided the Ministry of Finance with several other directives. In particular, he highlighted the importance of ensuring transparency and efficiency in the expenditure of budget funds, especially in the area of public procurement, as well as continuing investments in road construction, affordable housing, and other major government initiatives.
