According to the Main Internal Affairs Department, the fraudsters used the WhatsApp messenger to communicate with the victim, posing as employees of the State Committee for National Security and bank workers. They misled the victim and exerted psychological pressure, forcing her to carry out various financial transactions.
As a result of these manipulations, the woman agreed to sell her apartment and transferred money to the accounts specified by the criminals, leading to significant financial losses. In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During operational activities, officers of the Organized Crime Unit of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek were able to identify and detain the suspects: A. Zh. (born in 2007), B. S. (born in 1998), and N. M. (born in 2002).
