According to Orda.kz, elite cars, cryptocurrency, and more than 150 million tenge were seized from the suspects.
The Department of Financial Monitoring in Almaty is investigating the activities of a group that illegally launched and promoted the online casino 1Win.
“The organizers created an extensive network of legal entities registered under fictitious names. Through the 1Win platform, players were offered access to more than 11,000 gambling games and sports betting, including esports. Financial transactions were conducted through bank cards, electronic payment systems, and cryptocurrency,” the agency clarified.
The suspects have been placed on an international wanted list. The court has decided in absentia to arrest the individuals and confiscate their property. The seized vehicles include a Mercedes Maybach S500, Lamborghini Huracan, Toyota Land Cruiser, as well as significant sums in accounts: 151 million tenge, 14,600 dollars, and 44,400 euros.
The total amount of confiscation exceeded 420 million tenge, and all property was transferred to the state treasury.
It was previously reported that over 600 billion tenge was withdrawn through illegal online casinos from Kazakhstan. The scheme involved “gray” terminals, fake contracts with bookmakers, and payment services, which also included bank employees and a call center with 120 staff members from five countries, conducting cryptocurrency transactions totaling over 200 million dollars.
