Kyrgyzstan Became a Leader in Re-exporting New Toyotas to Russia

According to Sergey Tselikov, head of the analytical agency "Autostat," almost half of the new Toyotas (49.8%) were imported into Russia through Kyrgyzstan. The expert noted that this method turned out to be more advantageous in terms of customs procedures.

At the same time, 33.8% of the cars came from China, where 80% of all Toyotas that ended up in the Russian market were produced.

A small number of cars came directly from Japan, as well as through Georgia and Belarus. Meanwhile, used Toyotas (71%) were mainly imported from Japan, while 15% came from China, 4.2% from the Emirates, 2.8% from Georgia, and 2.2% from South Korea.

The most popular models imported into Russia were the RAV4 (34.7%), Highlander (24.6%), Camry (19.6%), Corolla (4.1%), and Land Cruiser Prado (3.9%).
