"NESK" Will Purchase 268 Transformers in 2026

- OJSC "National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan" plans to purchase 268 transformers in 2026, as reported by the company's press service.

As part of the preparations for the autumn-winter season of 2026–2027, work is planned across the country to increase capacity at substations, both high and low voltage.

At 20 substations operating in high-voltage networks of 35 and 110 kV, it is planned to increase the capacity of power transformers by 256 MVA.

Distribution by regions:

City of Bishkek — 2 units;
Jalal-Abad Region — 5 units;
Issyk-Kul Region — 5 units;
Naryn Region — 2 units;
Talas Region — 2 units;
Chui Region — 4 units.

To improve service quality and ensure reliable electricity supply in the 10/0.4 kV networks, 248 transformers will be installed and modernized, which will increase capacity by 107 MVA.

Distribution of transformers by regions:

City of Bishkek — 46 units;
Osh Region — 46 units;
Talas Region — 42 units;
Jalal-Abad Region PES — 29 units;
Issyk-Kul Region — 28 units;
Naryn Region — 27 units;
Batken Region — 22 units;
Chui Region — 8 units.

These measures will allow for the renewal of technical equipment in the industry and create optimal conditions for reducing the load on the electrical networks, the company noted.
