Marlen Mamataliev elected Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan

The meeting discussed the process of electing a new Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh.

The candidacy of Marlen Mamataliev was proposed by the parliamentary groups "Ata-Jurt", "Ala-Too", "Eldik", "Mekenchil", and "Adilet Kyrgyzstan".

Then the meeting continued in the format of the Committee of the entire Jogorku Kenesh.

Under the leadership of Kurmankul Zulushyev, the chairman of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation and Regulations, the candidacy of Marlen Mamataliev was approved.

After that, the deputies returned to the main meeting for the official election of the Speaker.

As a result of a secret ballot in which the deputies participated, Marlen Mamataliev was elected the new Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, receiving support from 77 votes.

The Jogorku Kenesh adopted the corresponding resolution.
