The Mayor of Bishkek handed over new special equipment and gear to the Ministry of Emergency Situations

The head of the capital emphasized that the city administration places great importance on the development of the material and technical base of rescue services. In 2023, approximately 5 million soms were allocated for the needs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and in the last two years, funding has been increased to 10 million.

“In the future, we will continue to support the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations by creating all the necessary conditions for their effective work. The new equipment will become an important tool in your daily activities, allowing you to be prepared for any emergencies and to respond promptly to the needs of the citizens,” noted Junushaliev.

In addition, last year key measures were implemented to enhance safety in the city, such as strengthening riverbanks, constructing a dam with a volume of 50,000 m³ in the Manka-Zhar gorge, and acquiring modern rescue equipment, the city administration reports.
