This project is being implemented with the support of the World Bank and aims to modernize the energy sector of the republic.
The installation of smart meters will be distributed as follows:
- City of Bishkek – 91,210 units;
- Chui Region – 89,129 units;
- Osh Region – 68,242 units;
- Batken Region – 54,997 units;
- Jalal-Abad Region – 71,546 units.
The main goal of digitalization is to increase the transparency of electricity accounting, reduce both technical and commercial losses, improve the quality of electricity supply, and develop digital infrastructure in this sector.
With the help of smart meters, it is possible to accurately monitor electricity consumption in real time, quickly identify technical malfunctions, prevent illegal connections, and generate accurate data for calculations.
