During the meeting, Baktybek Kudaybergenov clarified that the transfer of collected information to the central server of the National Statistical Committee will be carried out through secure communication channels, ensuring both confidentiality and prompt data processing.
It was also noted during the meeting that significant preliminary work has been carried out:
1. The census forms and key indicators have been agreed upon with relevant agencies and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
2. Four census forms, instructions for staff, and a detailed calendar plan have been developed and approved.
3. A pilot census was conducted in 2024, which allowed for improvements in software and methodology.
4. In 2025-2026, a multi-level training program for staff will be implemented (both in-person and online). In the first phase, the qualifications of more than 200 specialists were enhanced.
To coordinate all processes, an interdepartmental working group was formed in December 2025. A total of 6,791 temporary workers will be involved in the census, including:
— Registrars – 1,179;
— Enumerators – 4,494;
— Supervisors – 898;
— Coordinators – 220.
According to the approved schedule, coordinators will start working in February 2026, while the main staff (instructors and enumerators) will begin their work in March-April.
“The agricultural census is an important tool for creating an objective food security strategy for the country. We need to obtain the most accurate data on the agricultural potential of the republic for effective planning of government programs to support farmers,” emphasized the members of the Republican Commission.
In conclusion, Bakyt Torobaev noted that the state authorities and local self-government bodies are responsible for organizing, logistics, and supporting the census at the local level.
It should be noted that according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the census will take place from March 20 to April 10, 2026.
