- In Kyrgyzstan, new legislative initiatives in the field of standardization were adopted in 2025, and changes were made to technical regulation. The Ministry of Economy announced the implementation of a standardization development program for the period 2026–2030, as well as the adoption of 783 interstate standards within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

On January 11, 2025, the country's president signed the laws "On Standardization" and "On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on Technical Regulation in the Kyrgyz Republic".

To comply with the new norms established by the law "On Standardization," the government developed three resolutions and three orders. One of them was the order dated September 24, 2025, No. 829-t, which approved the National Standardization System Development Program for 2026–2030.

As part of interstate standardization, 23 drafts of GOST were developed in the fourth quarter of 2025, of which 20 were approved by the protocols of the Intergovernmental Council. A total of 783 interstate standards were adopted in 2025, including 243 standards harmonized with ISO/EN and 439 standards in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the EAEU.

In the field of technical regulation, resolutions were also adopted clarifying the mechanisms for implementing technical regulations, defining authorized state bodies, and the procedure for interagency interaction.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution dated February 28, 2023, No. 107, regarding the requirements for certification experts, 119 experts from 43 organizations received competence certificates in 2025. The register of these experts was sent monthly to the Kyrgyz Accreditation Center.

Additionally, an information system for traceability of certified halal (adal) products was developed, which is undergoing testing and will be integrated with the interagency electronic interaction system "Tunduk".

To unify the requirements for halal products and services within the EAEU, a draft Agreement on the procedure for recognizing halal products, processes, and services was prepared and sent to the Eurasian Economic Commission for discussion with the EAEU member states.
