On February 23, 2026, at the “Kyzyl-Kiya” checkpoint, it was discovered that 28,762 seedlings imported from Uzbekistan lacked labeling on their packaging.
According to the aforementioned decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, the labeling on the packaging of quarantine products must include information about the name of the product, the country of origin, and the exporting or re-exporting country.
It should be noted that the import of quarantine goods without labeling is a violation of the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union regarding phytosanitary control, which led to the return of this cargo back to the importing country.
