According to information from Mash and "112", Umar Dzhabrailov, a former senator, committed suicide in the center of the capital. His body was found in a hotel on Tverskaya Street, with a pistol nearby. Mash reports that the businessman was hospitalized in serious condition as an unidentified person, and later he was identified by hotel security.

This is not Dzhabrailov's first attempt to take his own life: in 2020, he had already made similar attempts, but he was saved at that time. As of now, there has been no official confirmation of his death.
