As a result of a joint operation by the GKNB and the SVR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, an employee of the Main Department of Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, OPSM of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs, was detained in a fraud case.
In August 2025, he deceitfully obtained 50,000 soms from citizens "K.Y." and "T.D.", totaling 100,000 soms for assistance in obtaining driver's licenses. The money was transferred via the mobile application "Mbank" to the details provided by the OPSM employee, reports the GKNB.
On March 4, 2026, an employee of the Main Department of Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, OPSM of the Osh City Department of Internal Affairs, was detained in this case and is currently in the GKNB pre-trial detention center. Investigative activities are ongoing.
The GKNB of the Kyrgyz Republic reminds that obtaining a driver's license should only occur on a legal basis.
